Consular Services For Pakistanis
I ) Passport | Four Pictures | | Application Form | | Original passport | | Copy of CNIC/NICOP | | Fee (Urgent 9000 yen and ordinary 3600 yen). |
- Copy of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC/NICOP) is necessary for issuing new passport; in case of absence of CNIC, one year restricted passport will be issued.
Japanese visa is also necessary for issuance of passport; in case of invalid visa, one year restricted passport will be issued. Another person can come for issuance of someone else’s passport only if there is a valid reason and if he has a power of attorney from the person for whom the passport will be issued. A new passport would be issued only if the old passport is going to expire within 40 days.
II ) NICOP and POC a) National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) Card:
b) Pakistan Origin Card (POC)
1. For spouse of a Pakistani National
- Two Pictures
- Two copies of passport of husband/wife
- Copy of marriage certificate/nikahnama
- Fee deposit slip, in National Bank of Pakistan, Tokyo Branch (US $100)
2. For children whose parent (one of them) is a Pakistani national
- Two pictures
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of passport
- Fee deposit slip, in National Bank of Pakistan, Tokyo Branch (US $50)
III ) Instructions for issuing miscellaneous certificates

IV ) Instructions for Attestation
- Any Document issued from Pakistan can only be attested by the Embassy, if it is attested by the Foreign Office in Pakistan.
- Documents issued from Japan can be attested by the mission if attested by the Japanese Foreign Office.
- The documents to be attested should not be older than one year.
- For Sign Attestation of the Power of Attorney the person has to be present and it should have the signatures of 2 witnesses.
